When you attend meetings three times a year, how do you ensure they're not boring, worthless, and just a waste of time & money? I usually ponder this question as I board the plane. One thing, make sure you like the people you have to spend all that precious time with. Second thing, if you can, bring one of your kids. My daughter, Katrina is awesome and she's a great traveller. Three, go as a learner, and learn from the people & culture you are visiting.
As we embark on our annual leadership meeting, my hope is that we discover the "real purpose" of our meetings. The unamed and surprise blessing and honour of being together. In this world today, it is a crazy privledge to have the freedom to choose to be together and actually be able to do it!
