It's been tough this last few months with the move- new place, the house under construction, still getting to know people, and the culture shock. So, I arrive here and my friend, Medhat (from Egypt) was sharing about his experience during the civil war this last months. With the sounds of gun shot firing outside, Medhat puts his head down in despair. He lost friends, that were killed; had no money, and might have to park his car; and the country was falling apart. Definitely a tough situation. My friend said he felt like God was encouraging him, "where does your peace come from? Your country, your bank account, or me?" I, in turn, was challenged, "where does my peace come from?"
