Lately. I have been thinking about strategy. It is an interesting word...strategy. I completely agree with "being strategic". There are some loaded ideas about the word depending on the culture and the perspective of the speaker or the one that uses the word. Perhaps some questions, might facilitate some further exploration. Is strategy the very steps of obedience in what the Father has said? Is being strategic about following certain biblical principles that honours God and his character and ways? What part does faithfulness to small steps of development look like?
I think in the church, there are various examples of strategy....events; conferences; building of a model; investing in the next generation through hours and hours of time; effective networking outside of our ministry world that could reap huge fruit for others down the road; and caring for one's family and community to break the cycle of dysfunction that follows so many ministries and individual leaders.
What would the Father say is our strategic approach? What are the role of camps, events, lifestyle, relationships, partnerships- each one takes a different strategic approach.
