NIKO 2...wow!

It is hard to simply state or capture multiple instances of people´s individual encounters with God. We had an awesome time of watching the Lord meet each one in profound and intimate ways. I guess that is what happens when you take 11 people; some prayer; willing hearts; some planned activities; a desert experience; a clear focus; lots of grace; help from the community; and a great Big God that knows each one of us intimately. Thanks to those that participated from Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay, Chile, Dominican Republic, and Canada. It was great and we all have fond memories of our time. More so, it was exciting to hear your testimonies of what God showed you and where you hope to go with what you learned. I believe that each of you will be very faithful with what the Lord did. May you continue to experience His love, intimacy, and encouragement as you serve Him. The Niko 2 had three overall themes, and every activity that you experienced incorporated at least one if all three themes.
Self Leadership – Many leaders in today’s society have the skills and gifts to effectively lead others to accomplish a task, goal, or something significant; but rarely take the time out to look at their lives to see if everything is in order. To be an effective leader of whom Christ wants us to be; it is essential that our own private life be in order. This Niko will take a look at your life to see where you are challenged to be a self-leader! We want you to ask yourself the question at the end of this Niko “What have I learned about myself?” and “Do I know my value and worth in the eyes of the Father and take care of myself?”
Intimacy with God- We were created for intimacy, first with God and then others. We often struggle with a deep knowing that we are loved and accepted by God. Each of us is unique and we have our own spiritual temperament. Some Christians effortlessly spend hours in contemplative prayer. Others are far better at showing God's love in practical ways or courageously standing up for God's kingdom. Considering your Sacred Pathways, we want to strip away the frustration of a one-size-fits-all spirituality and guides you toward a path of worship that frees you to be you. Sacred Pathways will show you the route you were made to travel, marked by growth and filled with the riches of a close walk with God.
Honesty and Humility
- When we are honest and humble, we get to understand the “real me”. Getting out of your comfort zone and experiencing things you have never done before will help you to be prepared for the unexpected in any missions or ministry context. Being prepared means the practice of being honest and humble. It is a condition of the heart. There is no reason to perform. How we deal with crisis says a lot about our true self. It is about an honest evaluation and remaining humble. Peace
